Now that the “SEMA dust” has settled, and the craze from Black Friday/Cyber Monday is coming to an end, the team has finally had some time to reflect. SEMA 2025 was an incredible show for us, and just as we had planned, we came back stronger than ever. Going to the show year 1 was a big decision for us, with a hefty entry fee alone, it was very intimidating, and we weren’t necessarily sure it was the right move for the company. However, we proved ourselves wrong… by a longshot.

This brings us to year 2, going into it, the whole team was stoked. We had strong initiatives for the show and a well-thought out booth display. The cherry on top was a custom bike we gave away in collaboration with Scott Sports and a local artist; leaning into our Utah roots and staying true to our passion for mountain biking. We poured so much time and energy into getting ready for the show, and it didn’t stop once we got there.

As a small team at a show of such scale, it is cool to look back and be able to say we did all this ourselves. From creating all the components that went into the booth ourselves to install and everything in between, we handled it all while watching teams of 25+ people doing the same thing. This in itself shows the strength and mindset of our company. We are constantly seeking to grow and learn so that we can deliver the most premium gear our community has seen.

So, what exactly did we walk away with from the show this year? While there are potential collaborations and partnerships in the works that we can’t necessarily disclose, there was a lot more as well. From catching up with clients in-person to meeting new connections that can help Cache expand globally, it was a massive push for the company. We have been wanting to push into global markets for a while now, so establishing these ties at the show this year marked a great beginning into this sector.
It was also very exciting for us to showcase some of our latest products (as well as a few unreleased items)! We had displayed our new Taxiway Tote Bag on a custom jet staircase which we had fabricated by a local design student at the University of Utah. This was a huge attention grabber, and solidified the idea that this bag belongs on the taxiway, or anywhere really😉. For other new products, we had our skid plates and cargo nets set up, two of our latest and greatest additions for decking out your Basecamp Pad. To top it all off, we previewed a couple of items including a second iteration to the Jeffrey Cooler, and a med kit. These were a hit as well, and has us rushing to get them out to the market with how much everyone loved them!
Overall, we couldn’t be prouder of the results our hard work has turned over for the company and team. At Cache we set ourselves above the rest. There’s a reason we claim, “World’s Best Tailgate Pad”, and it isn’t just some marketing stunt. Our premium products and the brand we’ve built are all reflected through events and times such as these. While we may operate with a small team and don’t necessarily have your typical “HR department”, we show up, mean business, and get things done… the right way. So, there you have it, a little look into what our week at SEMA looked like this year and how we're walking away from it. Stay tuned for more from the Basecamp Blog!
