THEFT RESISTENT
The Basecamp Pad 2.0 is locked to your tailgate via a steel wire beaded cable that’s sandwiched between two industrial-size nylon straps. The strap then attaches to a combo locking carabiner that’s made with cast iron and reinforced with heat-treated steel components.

The Basecamp pad 2.0 features an upgraded utility strap that’s got your best friend in mind. Tie-down bikes, surfboards, and anything else that sticks out of your tailgate with the clip of the strap. Built with elasticity in the strap, it easily detaches and functions as a perfect dog leash.

Detachable Window Opening
We built the Basecamp Pad 2.0 to work with a wide range of backup camera configurations. Featuring a 24″ window that clips on and off, you can protect your truck opening when bikes are on, or easily pop it off and have a full peripheral vision for backing up your big rig.

Major Upgrade from V1
This essentially resolved all the annoyances I had with the V1. The strap down is way more secure and the extra padding is great. The only real issue I have had is getting the back side to flatten out, I almost need to put a crease in it to hold flat, still trying to get that nailed down. Otherwise great improvement!
This pad exceeded my expectations. The quality is top notch and it fits perfectly on the tailgate of our Chevrolet Silverado. And the bed cover still locks perfectly. Highly recommend this product!
Dudes (and dudettes), this pad is solid. Super cool design, strong material, versatile, customizable, multiple purposes (like just protecting your tailgate from other cargo), and local! The team at Cache is super helpful as well. This pad fits up to 5 bikes and the system that straps them down is state of the art and super creative. Way faster than a hitch rack to just throw your bikes on and get out. Also very helpful for my wife when she wants to go and doesn’t feel like putting the hitch rack on her van. Get this pad. It’s incredible.

My wife ordered it for me, and I was able to pick it up locally. I met up with Tyler and he was awesome. Installed it for me, answered all of my questions and best of all, he was using his own product. I got to use it today for the first time and it worked great. After a little over a year of sitting in the sun, I decided to retire my decreped bike pad off my 12′ Tundra. Saw the Basecamp pad while cruising through town and thought it looked legite based on the materials. I’ve had it for two weeks now and am stoked on the bumpers in the front that protect my fork and then the payload strap that I just run through the bike frame to lock down the bikes. I’ve even tied down long pieces of wood and surfboards. Works like a charm!
We have a 2021 GMC Sierra 2500hd, looking for a cover to hold our e-bikes. I like that this one is more secure than most. Would this work on our truck?
