The Basecamp Pad

5.0 (6)

The Basecamp Pad is the world’s best multi-use tailgate pad for pickup trucks. Made out of weatherproof materials, it’s built to live in the elements. The Basecamp Pad is the world’s only locking tailgate pad. With a wire beaded cable sandwiched between two nylon straps that connect to a combo locking carabiner, you can leave your truck knowing your tailgate pad isn’t going anywhere. It also provides an anchor point to lock up your bikes. The Basecamp Pad features Cache’s patented molle webbing system which allows for easy attachment and removal of any one of our accessories such as the Jeffrey Cooler or Lounger Chair. Once installed, you can use the Basecamp Pad’s integrated payload strap to lock down bikes, surfboards, ladders, wood, and whatever else you need to secure to your tailgate.

01Weather Proof

As with all of our accessories, the Basecamp Pad is wrapped in waterproof PVC and coated in PU Nylon. Whatever your truck makes it through – plan on your Basecamp Pad being there too.

02Theft Resistent

The Basecamp System is locked to your tailgate via a steel wire beaded cable that’s sandwiched between two industrial-size nylon straps. The strap then attaches to a combo locking carabiner that’s made with cast iron and reinforced with heat-treated steel components.

03Multi-Use

The Basecamp pad features an adjustable tie down strap that turns your tailgate into an anchor point. Tie-down bikes, surfboards, and anything else that sticks out of your tailgate.

04Camera Opening

We built the Basecamp Pad to work with a wide range of backup camera configurations.

    SOLID

Dudes (and dudettes), this pad is solid. Super cool design, strong material, versatile, customizable, multiple purposes (like just protecting your tailgate from other cargo), and local! The team at Cache is super helpful as well. This pad fits up to 5 bikes and the system that straps them down is state of the art and super creative. Way faster than a hitch rack to just throw your bikes on and get out. Also very helpful for my wife when she wants to go and doesn’t feel like putting the hitch rack on her van. Get this pad. It’s incredible.

Perfect fit for the 2019-2020 Ford Ranger

Having owned all the ‘other brands’, this pad reigns above all. Low profile, secure, and versatile! Fits snugly on the tailgate and even allows a topper to close.

    Basecamp Pad

I’d been wanting a tailgate pad for a couple of years. I had lookEd at several other manufacturers but decided to “Trustcache” because they were local and they’re donating 15% of the proceeds to the local food bank. My wife ordered it for me, and I was able to pick it up locally. I met up with Tyler and he was awesome. Installed it for me, answered all of my questions and best of all, he was using his own product. I got to use it today for the first time and it worked great. It looks great, it’s made with quality materials and it locks!

I’m glad I decided to order this Thanks guys for a great product.

    Sick Bike Pad

After a little over a year of sitting in the sun, I decided to retire my decreped bike pad off my 12′ Tundra. Saw the Basecamp pad while cruising through town and thought it looked legite based on the materials. I’ve had it for two weeks now and am stoked on the bumpers in the front that protect my fork and then the payload strap that I just run through the bike frame to lock down the bikes. I’ve even tied down long pieces of wood and surfboards. Works like a charm!
